My Story.

 

Hi. My name is Josie, I am from Nottingham, England and I am a cake decorator.

 

I am a very creative person. Anything that involves designing and making something I adore! I've always enjoyed baking at home, as a child I would help my mum in the kitchen to make cakes and other baked goods. I have always said I don't really know what I want to do for a career but I want it to be creative! 

 

One evening whilst flicking through TV channels I came across the Food Network. A program called Amazing Wedding Cakes was on so I decided to watch it... and from then on I was instantly hooked! 

I would watch it every week day evening at 8pm and watch additional episodes online, I loved it!

 

About a week or two later after discovering Amazing Wedding Cakes my sister's birthday was approaching and I felt inspired by the show to attempt a cake and so I offered to make her one for her birthday.

I used the knowledge I had learned from the show (and plenty of research!) to create a beautiful cake. The cake turned out far better than I had imagined. Everyone at the party was amazed and told me I should start a cake business.

And that is how Josie's Cake Studio was born.

 

Cake decorating is the most fun and rewarding job I have ever done and It would be my dream to have it as my life long career.
